Each has a new big brother-- one a Schipperke, one a probable Schipperke mix. They were such cute girls and many people enjoyed playing with them and holding them.<br /><br />On Thursday they were spayed &amp; microchipped and received their final vaccinations. They are just so funny and outgoing and their beauty and charm was a big hit at the event. Hopefully they are on their way to finding their Forever Homes!!<br /><br />They seem to finally be turning a corner with their housebreaking. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Schipperkes</span> are infamously difficult to housebreak, but we are doing everything we know to help get them ready for their new lives. They love to be with people-- they follow us around everywhere when they have the chance. But they are two tiny handfuls! They chew, they pee and poop where they want, they escape through the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">babygate</span>. While we were researching the breed to get an idea of the kind of home they will need, we saw this quote on a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Schipperke</span> rescue site: "<b><i><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:85%;" >Be owned by a "little black devil" and have a friend for life!</span></i></b>". That seems about right to us! But wow, what fun to watch. They are hilarious and SO playful-- non-stop balls of energy and fun.
